The average of the monthly salaries of M, N and S is Rs. 4000. The average of the monthly salaries of N, S and P is Rs. 5000. The monthly salary of P is Rs. 6000. What is the monthly salary of M as a percentage of the monthly salary of P?

  • 50%
  • B75%
  • C100%
  • D125%

Explanation

M+N+S = 3x4000 = 12000. N+S+P = 3x5000 = 15000, so N+S = 15000-6000 = 9000. Then M = 12000-9000 = 3000. M as % of P = 3000/6000 x 100 = 50%.
