GATE 2020

The base of a brass bracket needs rough grinding. For this purpose, the most suitable grinding wheel grade specification is
- C30Q12V
- BA50G8V
- CC90J4B
- DA30D12V
Explanation
Brass is a soft, non-ferrous material — silicon carbide (C) abrasive suits non-ferrous/non-metallic work better than aluminium oxide (A). Rough grinding calls for a coarse grain size (30, not 90). Soft workpieces need a comparatively harder-grade wheel (so the bond retains grains rather than releasing them too fast). C30Q12V (SiC, coarse grain 30, medium-hard grade Q) matches all three requirements.
