Hard

For a simple compressible system, v, s, p and T are specific volume, specific entropy, pressure and temperature, respectively. As per Maxwell's relations, (∂v/∂s)_p is equal to

  • A(∂s/∂T)_p
  • B(∂p/∂v)_T
  • C−(∂T/∂v)_p
  • (∂T/∂p)_s

Explanation

From dG=−SdT+Vdp (Gibbs free energy), equality of mixed partial derivatives gives the Maxwell relation (∂V/∂S)_p = (∂T/∂p)_s, i.e. (∂v/∂s)_p=(∂T/∂p)_s.
