Explanation

Unripe fruits = 15% of 5,692,000 = 853,800. Unripe apples = 45% of 853,800 = 384,210. Ripe fruits = 85% of 5,692,000 = 4,838,200. Since 66% of ripe fruits are oranges, 34% are apples: 0.34 x 4,838,200 = 1,644,988 ripe apples. Total apples = 384,210 + 1,644,988 = 2,029,198.
