Explanation
Center distance = m(T1+T2)/2, so T1+T2 = 2×450/5 = 180. For a 5:1 speed reduction, the driven gear has 5× the teeth of the pinion: T2=5T1. So T1+5T1=180 ⟹ T1=30.
