GATE 2008
Medium
For generating a Coon's surface we require
- Aa set of grid points on the surface
- Ba set of grid control points
- four bounding curves defining the surface
- Dtwo bounding curves and a set of grid control points
Explanation
A Coons patch (bilinearly-blended Coons surface) is constructed directly from its four boundary curves, blending them across the interior — no separate control-point grid is needed (unlike a Bezier/B-spline surface).
