Medium
Match the location of the poles/zeros in the s-plane, listed in Group I, with the system response characteristics in Group II: P. Pole in the right half plane, Q. Pole at origin, R. Zero in the right half plane — I. Stable response, II. Integrating response, III. Unstable response, IV. Inverse response
- AP-I, Q-II, R-III
- BP-III, Q-IV, R-I
- P-III, Q-II, R-IV
- DP-I, Q-IV, R-III
Explanation
A pole in the right half plane (RHP) gives an unstable (growing) response (P-III). A pole at the origin gives an integrating (ramp) response (Q-II). A zero in the RHP gives an inverse-response (non-minimum phase) system (R-IV).
